Professionally
I have always been interested in and had a had a flair for Mathematics teaching and an empathy for those who struggle with the basic concepts and this translated into my professional life where I was a financial trader in the City for over 10 years, before progressing into a mathematically based training role. For the next 10 years I was involved in training some very senior people in the banking industry and it never ceased to amaze me how many people seemed to have an innate fear of maths and the number of people who commented on my ability to simplify fairly complex mathematical concepts was very flattering.
This gave me a passion for catching and helping people to conquer this fear from an early age. I am constantly finding that, with many of my students, their struggles with maths has been with their confidence levels rather than their actual ability. My one-to-one method of tailoring all maths lessons to the individual pupils' requirements and abilities enables me to build up their confidence gradually as we work at their own speed.
ACI Diploma obtained with Distinction as well as Maths & Economics A levels, Pure Maths and Statistics AO levels. I hold an Enhanced CRB Check.

PersonallyI stopped working in the city when I became pregnant with my first child and I am now a happily married mother of 2 children. I have been tutoring maths privately for 13 years and toegther with a small team of tutors we currently have 20 pupils a week studying Maths on a one-to-one basis at differing levels
